COEDPOETH is a populous village, having all the pretensions of a little town, in the Parish of Bersham, 3.5 miles from and in the County Court of Wrexham.   The Village of Coedpoeth stands high and is a vantage ground for a good view of the surrounding country.   NANT is a Village adjoining, as is also TALWRN.   Population returned with Bersham Parish in 1881 was 4,778 (which includes Workhouse).   Letters "via Wrexham".
